These
images were forwarded from Cary Baker of the Netherlands, who who has modelled
a Welshmodels Nimrod modified with Colours and markings from the early 80s when
his father, Capt (Ret'd) Gary Herman Baker, was the Canadian Airforce Exchange
Pilot with the RAF from 1980 to 84 and flew with 206 Sqn and the Nimrod Flight
Trial Unit (NFTU) in RAF Kinloss, Scotland. His Father was actually the NFTU
test pilot for the initial flights when the Nimrod was first fitted with the
AAR (air to air refuling) boom and the Sidewinder air-to-air missles (which
he added to this model) during the Falklands war. Even more amazing he has provided
an image of his late father standing infront of a Canadair Argus (above) which
is about to be released by Welshmodels as one of their next Military kits. (Jan
2008).
